Best Air Mattress Pump

Do you have an air mattress but need a reliable pump? Most, but not all, air mattresses nowadays come with built in pumps or with hand-held or electrical powered secondary pumps. But if you don't have a pump for your air mattress or if the one you have is ineffective, there are many different air mattress pumps you can choose from. On this page I will review some of the more popular air mattress pumps.

pump-coleman.jpgI have always purchased Coleman air mattress pumps (although I do not necessarily prefer their air mattresses).  The unit I currently own is the Coleman Rechargeable Quickpump.   This pump works great for both our air mattresses and for just about anything else we can blow up.  We often use it to blow up rafts for the kids.   It can inflate a queen size air mattress in less than two minutes and has a wonderful deflate option.  No more jumping on the mattress to remove extra air!

I have also used the Overton Air Mattress Pump. The Overton model comes with a rapid air mattress pump, rechargeable battery, cigarette lighter adapter, and a universal valve adapter.  This is a workhorse air mattress pump that can also be used to inflate everything from rafts to inflatable boats.

Other air mattress pump manufacturers include Intex with their Intex Quick Fill Electric Pump, Kwik Tek AirHead Pump, AirBedz Air Pump, and the Texsport rechargeable pump.   I do not have personal experience with any of these models but you can find reviews of each at this air mattress pumps page.

The only thing you need to be careful about when making an air mattress pump purchase is the size of the valve.  You should make sure before you purchase that the pump will be able to inflate your air mattress.   Many come with universal adapters that ensure it will inflate all models of air mattresses
