Created specifically to deal with dog, cat, and other pet hair, the Dyson DC28 Animal vacuum cleaner features Root Cyclone engineering to guarantee comprehensive, reliable cleaning without any lack of suction or clogging

The Dyson DC28 also incorporates Airmuscle technology.  This technology employs a pneumatic actuator, a high torque clutch, and a powered cam to allow highly accurate adjustments to allow for comprehensive cleaning of a variety of different floor types.

Comes with a washable HEPA filter and is certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America to be allergy and asthma friendy.  

One of the most popular features of the DC28 is the included mini turbine head.  Using a powered cam, this great power tool adjusts automatically based on the floor or carpet to allow for the best suction and cleaning possible. This vacuum also comes with a stair tool, a dusting tool, and a flat head tool for gettin under furniture low to the ground.

Additional features includes a 16 foot telescopic wand that can expand and retract at the touch of a button, a cord length of over 35 feet, on-board tool storage, and 5/8 gallon bin.

this is the by far the best vacuum I have ever used. It's really worth every penny.  The 5 year warranty is such peace of mind as Dyson will replace or repair any parts or capabilities that malfunction or break. If you are searching for an outstanding vacuum, look no more.

This vacuum cleaner is crazy good. The DC28 is super light weight and very easy to move around, the suction is so powerful the vacuum does most of the work, is almost self-propelled, and all you have to do is steer it around the room.

Negative Customer Reviews

Nearly 25% of all reviews of the DC25 are 2 stars or less. Many of the negative reviews complain about the weight of the unit (it's heavier than the previous ball technology model, DC25).  There are also a few reports of the unit being loud and complaints about the bagless design.  Finally, a couple reviews talk about the vacuum not working after a few weeks of use (however Dyson does offer a 5 year warranty).

This is a great vacuum and worth even penny - when it works. Unfortunately my vacuum has rarely worked. One of the machine's strengths is its powerful suction, but on my vacuum it always fails to turn off the suction to the wand leading to lower suction to the head.

My biggest problem with this vacuum is the bagless is messy, messy, messy. It is impossible to get all dust/dirt out of the canister efficiently.
